The Pottery studio

Welcome to Harvest Moon Homestead's pottery studio, Hearth Ceramics with Cooper Jeppesen.

Here, the cyclical nature of firing wood kilns directly influences the objects created. Cooper finds immense pleasure in forming relationships with specific kilns, crafting work that resonates with their unique aesthetic qualities.

The studio is open for tours for our guests by request and our farm stand offers an array of Cooper’s work such as teapots, mugs, vases and much more.

Meet Cooper

For Cooper, teapots symbolize the essence of community and connection forged around the hearth of a kiln. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and traditional Chinese Yixing teapots, his creations reflect a harmonious blend of cultural influences and environmental beauty.

Each piece that emerges from the kiln is more than just a work of art—it's a testament to the labor and experiences shared at the kiln site. Cooper's dedication to his craft shines through, offering collectors an opportunity to connect with these meaningful creations and the stories they carry.

Stay tuned as we work on building our wood-fired kiln, enhancing our journey of artistry and connection at Harvest Moon Homestead and Hearth Ceramics.
